Taking Care of Our Streets & More
When it comes to the upkeep of our city streets and public right-of-ways, you can rely on the dedicated Hurricane Construction Services team. Services encompass a wide range of essential tasks, including maintaining street signs, ensuring clear and safe city streets, efficient snow removal, easement mowing, tree trimming, curb sweeping and stormwater catch basin clearance. Initiatives also focus on beautification and restorative efforts along with park projects that make our city even more appealing.

City of Hurricane Recycling
Location:
1000 Midland Trail
(Close to the Hurricane Fire & Rescue station)
The Recycling Center is managed by the Putnam County Solid Waste Authority (PCSWA) and is open:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Second Saturday of each month: 9:00am – 1:00pm

The Recycling Center Accepts the Following Items:
- #1 and #2 plastics (empty and rinse)
- Cardboard (break down)
- Steel/tin cans (empty and rinse)
- Mixed paper (remove food residue/tape)
- Soft plastics (like grocery/bread bags and shrink wrap)
- Aluminum (empty and rise)
- *Brush (8″ maximum in diameter)
*Brush is only accepted during Saturday hours.
