Dedicated to Keeping Hurricane a Safe Place to Live
Our dedicated police force consists of 18 sworn members and two K-9 officers. In addition, we have two civilian employees who play a vital role in managing the administrative aspects of our department and City Court. Leading the Hurricane Police Department is Chief W.M. (Mike) Mullins, a dedicated officer since 1992 who assumed the role of Chief in 2007.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program
Our School Resource Officer (SRO) program places certified police officers within the school system, with a primary focus on prevention, mentorship and ensuring the safety of all students.
